2004 – 2005

16th December 2005
  Christmas Bash
A great night to celebrate Christmas. The Open Stage provided great entertainment with a few spoken word artists. Raffles kept the audience hanging on and all joined in the sing along carols.

18th November 2005 Paul Wookey
Paul’s performance was all we expected and more. Covering tracks from his CD’s ‘One Way Ticket’ and ‘I Wish It Would Rain’ (it did) as well as a couple of Blues tunes he played 3 encores.
Heatherhill Rat Gratitude Award:
went to Ted for a spoken word presentation.

21st October 05  Tracey Roberts & Chloe Hall.
Maria Couldn’t make it as she was opening an international football game in Perth. However, Tracey Roberts and Chloe Hall with James on cello gave an excellent performance. Tracey’s piano jazzy cafe style matched with the contemporary folk style of Chloe with James on cello was great.

Heatherhill Rat Gratitude Award: went to Sensible Tom  for a great performance – it keeps getting harder to choose between the performances.

16th September 05 Alex Legg
A terrific performance from Alex in his blusey style.

19th August 05 The Wake
Our AGM went well and the current committee was re-elected. Thanks to their efforts over the past 12 months.
Anne and Michael did a great job keeping the Badfolk members and guests entertained. They were supported by a three piece group Detour, great harmonies and had everyone tapping along.
Heatherhill Rat Gratitude Award:
None this night because of the AGM.

15th July 05 Craig and Simone.
Great supporters of acoustic music and talents to match. Musically they are excellent, incorporating a range of tunings and harmonics from Craig on guitar and multi instrumentalist Simone.  Performance wise, Great with a mix of covers, originals and comedy as well.
Heatherhill Rat Gratitude Award  : Presented to Charlotte.  A first timer with a great voice and original songs.
Craig presented a ‘Creative Guitar Workshop’ on the Saturday morning.  A great session and well worth it for any Guitarist.

June 05: Open Stage Another great night of fine talent. Members from the www songwriting group attended with some great contemporary music. Colin and Sue had us singing along and we didn’t finish too late. The open stage nights are really a great night to experience a whole range of great music.

May 05: Girls Night Bron Ault-Connell, Cath Connelly, Riley Jordan.
Blues guitarist of the year from the Frankston Guitar Festival, coupled with Cath on the Celtic Harp and Riley Jordan to finish off the night. A great mix of styles from the hot fingers of Bron, the gentle hands of Cath and the experienced artistic (Sing a long included) performance with Riley. By the way, Riley did get lost 3 times on her way to the club!! (I’m glad she made it).
No Heatherhill rat award this month. We were entertained by Phil who does sound, Stalwart Jordan and Bron Singleton from Cranbourne who sang three a’capella numbers. A beautiful voice.
